VaBene watches in Aum Trinoma
Ever since I saw Vabene watches at Aum Jewels in Trinoma, QC I was very intrigued by them. I'd never heard of the brand before. But the look was familiar. We'd seen colourful big watches in the past - in acrylic, rubber, plastic, ceramic etc. But I didn't know there was a name for this trend. They're called boyfriend watches.
Back in my day, boyfriend watches were literal. They were men's watches that you borrow or steal from your boyfriend, hoping it's a Rolex or Cartier Pasha but it was most probably a Timex or Citizen. The only boyfriend that lent me a watch, I ended up marrying. And yes, it was a nice watch.
I didn't succumb to this colourful rubber/plastic watch craze that's been going around for years. I figured I had a couple of really good watches and those were enough. But when I saw the VaBene ones, I thought they were a lot of fun. They had watches with bejeweled designs like cherries, marijuana (and no, I don't condone the use of drugs), military tanks and pirates). So it thought it was worth a second look.
VaBene is an Italian fashion watch brand that's borne from the Grimaldi jewelry family. I asked Aum's Paul Syjuco about the brand. Here's what he shared:
It's currently very strong in Europe and the States, where they're more popularly known as boyfriend watches because of its massive size. Celebrity sightings include Vanessa Trump, Ozzy Osbourne, Stephen Baldwin and Corina Schumacher. It's also very popular in Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok and should break out in Manila anytime soon as it can be considered affordable luxury. Acrylic watches are being raved about as the new hot trend in many recent publications and by the biggest stars. They have even been spotted on fashion icon Madonna and has been labeled as hot items in Time Magazine, InStyle, Vogue and Vanity Fair.
Aum Jewels in Trinoma carries VaBene's latest lines as the Turbulence and the Sole and Ceramica models. As well as the popular Adesso with automatic movement. I know... the Pirate watch is not quite me. But I LOVE IT. I love that it feels sooo heavy and delicate at the same time because it's made of ceramic.
There is a reason why I chose the Pirate Ceramica. Can anybody guess?

| Writer's Block: Just another manic Monday |

On the one hand, I live for the weekend. It allows me to escape from the stress of school - at least temporarily - and gives me more freedom to do what I want. For example, even though I always have homework to accomplish on the weekend, I always make a point of going to the mall because it's something I enjoy, and it helps me relieve my stress on a substantial level.
On the other hand, I'm really loving school this year. I'm finally doing what I've wanted to do (what I've dreamt about!) for years - animation. I love the work that I'm doing, I love my classes (with... one or two exceptions), and I love my teachers (with one exception). So, I'm 50/50 really. I appreciate aspects of the week since I love what I'm doing, and I naturally appreciate the weekend since it acts as a nice little break.
The main thing I dread about school is Wednesday's. I have no problem with any other day of the week. But Wednesday's are just... omg. My first class is 4.5 hours long, so it drags on forever, and it's my least favourite class, which makes it drag on even loooooonger. I'm at school for a total of 8 hours on Wednesday, and although I love eating lunch with my friends, and I enjoy my afternoon class, my 4.5 hour class is just... NO. NOOOOO. I would much rather have the class twice a week in smaller portions. I think it would be easier to digest. But, hey. That's not an option. XD On the bright side, at least I get it all over with at once instead of having to deal with it twice a week?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. :) Not particularly my morning Humanities lecture (I'm actually considering skipping... maybe...? But that might end up hurting me, so we'll see), but I'm looking forward to handing in the homework that was due this past Friday (I was absent with the flu), and I'm looking forward to this week in general. It's going to be a good week. I've decided that. :)

This is my first post! Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong, and feel free to delete this if I am~
Does anyone know a really good horror fic? I want to read something that will really scare me!~ (Monsters, Demons, a Zombie Apocalypse ect.) And also any fics where it takes place in an asylum or a rehab facility. I'll read any genre and any pairing. But my OTPs are yunjae, yoosu, minsu, and yoosumin. And if Changmin has a pretty big part in the story it's a plus+!

Hello! This is my first time EVER writing a Yoosu fanfic, (and my third fanfic I EVER wrote, haha) though I made a couple fanvid for them already, anyways I hope you will enjoy this and the trailer! ^^

PD Hong SeongChan of SBS ongoing hit drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ reveals the reason why After School member UEE was casted as character Yoo HeYi on the show.
PD Hong said in a recent interview, “We did many auditions for the casting of character Yoo HeYi in the show, and UEE was one of the auditionees. We decided to test the auditionees for crying scenes without giving them any hints before that. UEE did a good crying scene almost instantly and we casted her immediately.”
PD Hong also said, “Now looking at UEE’s acting, we think we’ve made a good choice.”
The PD also talked about cast Jang GeunSeok, Park ShinHye and Jung YoungHwa, “GeunSeok plays the team leader who is the core of the team, ShinHye is one who acts well with stamina even when she is tired. And YoungHwa’s acting is not that of a newcomer at all.”
